New Adventures

We thought it would be fun to start a blog in order to chronicle all of our new adventures and to help keep you, our family and friends in the loop! Right now our lives are pretty, well, we are at a weird place!

We just celebrated our 4 year wedding anniversary this past January! It is hard to believe it has been 4 years already. We have loved every minute of it and continue, every day, to try and love each other better. In fact, right now we are doing a study, with our life group, of the book "Love and Respect" by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs. We are already learning new things about communicating and understanding each other. I think this study will prove fruitful :)

Matt got laid-off in December and is still diligently searching for a job as an EIT in civil engineering. There have been a lot of people telling him that the closer we get to spring, the more jobs will become available, due to a few very large scale projects starting up in the area. So, everyday he gets up and looks for new job postings and makes calls and sends out resumes. We are praying that God will honor his efforts with an interview and a job soon. Please pray with us!

In other news, it is true, we are pregnant with our first baby!! I am well into my 9th week of pregnancy and we have our first OB appointment this Thursday! I am due on the 27th of September 2009. This is both very exciting news and a bit stressful, due to our lack of income at the moment :) I have no doubt that God has a sense of humor. He is just daring us to trust Him. Trust Him we will, for that is all we can do! I know that He has our best in mind and is orchestrating everything to our benefit, though it is hard to see with these only too-human eyes.

Right now, we are living with Matt's parents in Kirkland, WA. They have graciously given us a place to stay while we need it. Living with others has its advantages and disadvantages, but we feel so blessed that they are willing to help us out so much!
Well, that is all for now! We will try to update this often and look forward to sharing our journey with you!

I'm super excited you started one! Your family will love it. It is so neat to have a running display of everything to remember. I'm happy for you guys. There's a little part of me now hoping you guys are having a girl. They would be the best of friends!

I think this is a good idea! It will be easy to let everyone know things without having to retell it like 100 times! haha :)
I love you guys and am keeping you in my prayers:)
