Last weekend, Matt and I drove down to California for Grama Dottie's 8oth birthday party. The drive down was beautiful and not too bad. We got a lot of quality time together :)
We stayed with Matt's cousin, Megan and her husband, Stu, while we were there. They live in Woodland. Everyday we drove over to Alan and Lorrie's house, in Davis, to hang out with everyone. They have a huge patio and tons of land out back. There is a huge grassy area, horse stable, a large garden, nice shop, ect... It was just beautiful and the perfect place to relax in the sun!
Grama Dottie was so surprised to see everyone. She had no idea any of us were coming!! The whole Flint side of the family was there and it was really great to have everyone together for the weekend, celebrating Grama. Her sister, Ruth, and her husband even flew in from Ohio!! They hadn't seen each other in 12 years!
Most of our time was spent in the back yard and on the patio. The meals were all delicious and the weather was very cooperative and stayed in the 80's and 90's all weekend.
I also got some baby stuff from Megan while we were there and a cradle handed down to us that Alan made. It is a blessing to have a few things taken care of already.
Mark and Elaine joined us for the drive back home and we got back around 10 pm Monday night. I would say it was a great weekend and I'm so glad that we all were able to go! Good memories :)

Very good memories. It was an awesome weekend. Glad you guys could come. Hopefully we'll see you guys again before another 4 years passes.
